Along with having an active ARES and Skywarn group, we help out in the community as well as organize some of our own events.
- March: Often we are asked to help with Midwinter Madness, so
be sure to look for our booth.
- May: Annual Fergus Falls Trip. Every spring, WBØTRA
visits family in Fergus Falls. He invited the club
to join him for a day of Field Day style activity, usually wrapping up mid-afternoon.
- June: Buffalo Triathlon: Each year we provide
communications support for the triathlon. The course route has doubled in size this year, so it should be an awesome outing. For more info, take a look at the TriBuff website.
- June: The ultimate club event, WCARS Field Day. We've created a Field Day page just for this one!
- July: Heart of the Lakes Triathlon: We will be providing
communications support along the course route, relaying information to
event organizers. For info on the triathlon, check out their website. Update: The
event organizers thank us for helping, and have invited us back next
year.
- September: "Radios on the
River" at Shady Rivers Campground. Bob KØWYC has inivited us
out,
may become an annual event.
